Acupuncture can help!

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese system of medicine which involves the practice of inserting fine needles into the skin. It has been around for at least 3000 years and it is still practicing for all the world. It’s a unique modality that specifically works on the body’s energetic level and therefore can be very effective for treating ailments that other medicines sometimes struggle to heal.

Stroke rehabitation

Stroke is the second most common cause of death in the world and in China it has now become the main cause of death. It is also a main cause of adult disability and dependency. Acupuncture for stroke has been used in China for hundreds of years and is increasingly practiced in some Western countries.
Acupuncture is found effective for the treatment of paralysis, speech and dysphagia (swallowing problems), and depression caused by stroke. We used the "Shujintongluo" acupuncture protocol for the treatment of hemiplegia, a type of stroke affecting one side of the body with high success rate.

There is a misconception that acupuncture is contraindicated in the acute stage of stroke. Quite the contrary, acupuncture should intervene promptly, as early as the first week after onset. Every week of delay can potentially harm the outcome.
